2008 New England 14U Girls Babe Ruth Softball Regional Tournament
Thursday to Monday, July 24 to 28 - Littleton. Due to the success in hosting the 2007 tournament, Ammonoosuc Valley Softball and the town of Littleton has been given the 2008 tournament. Hosting tournaments back to back is rarely given to any town or team. Unlike last years tournament who's winner went on to the World Series in Texas, the 14U Regional ends here in Littleton, making the regional tournament more like a World Series event. There will be twelve to fifteen teams from NH, VT, ME, MA, and CT staying in town. Games will be played 9:00am - 5:00pm each day. Littleton Community Center Fundraiser
Saturday, August 9 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Community Center, Littleton. Proceeds from this event will go towards much needed building improvements to the Community House and Annex. This is our first attempt to raise funds that will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the town as established by Warrant Article 32. The yard sale will be held indoors in the Annex. An associated food sale will be set up outside in the upper parking lot. If you can help us out by either donating goods or volunteering some time, please contact Wendy or Briggs on 603-444-3963.
1st Annual Feel'n Top Notch - Outdoor Expo and Wellness Fair
Saturday, August 16 - 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Cannon Mountain, Franconia. The event is designed to inform, educate, entertain, and encourage individuals and families to learn new skills and rekindle interests in outdoor activities and good health. Among the many other events, it will include free health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose screenings, and body mass analysis. Fitness tips and healthy eating demonstrations will be included to promote healthy lifestyles for children and adults. The entrance fee for adults is $5.00 and children are free. The daytime event will be followed by an evening of dancing to the Wicked Smart Horn Band at the Peabody Lodge at Cannon Mountain. First Annual Square and Compass Scholarship Fund Scramble
Friday, August 29 - 1:00 p.m. (Shotgun Start), Maplewood Country Club, Bethlehem. Burns Lodge, of Littleton, is establishing a scholarship fund for high school seniors from Littleton and Profile High Schools. Our goal is to build the fund for three years, and then begin distributing scholarships after the third year. This annual golf tournament will be the primary fundraiser, so we hope you will join us for the first of what will be a good time and a great cause! We invite you or your company (or both!) to sponsor a hole or a team. Entry fee includes greens fees, cart, lunch on the course, barbeque after the tournament, and prizes! Individuals are welcome! We will assign single players to teams on the morning of the tournament. Sponsored by Burns Lodge #66, Free and Accepted Masons.

Littleton Farmers Market Opens for the 9th Season

The market energy is already enthused by many returning vendors with valued produce and growing crops; plus new vendors eager to add their stands at Littleton's award winning farmers market.
